The 100 Day Spending Ban Challenge

I don't know about anyone reading this but personally I can never seem to stop spending money. I have a tendency to buy things that I want but don't need and to be honest it's starting to take it's toll in my bedroom  and bathroom cupboards, my main crime is that I tend to hoard things and you know what enough is enough! why spend money on skincare/make-up etc if I'm not even going to use them up?because really lets face it it's just a waste of money at the end of the day.

As of today 19th of August I am starting the challenge, which will end on the 28th of November.

Below are the rules I am going to set myself.

1. I am not allowed to by anymore make-up, shower, bath, skincare or body products. I have to use up what I have and not give in to temptation when any new products come out.
2. I'm not allowed to by any books whether it be for my kindle or on the app market on my phone, magazines, DVD's or CD's.
3. I am not allowed to by any food from a take away or even buy any type confectionary. I have a feeling chewing gum and mints are going to be my best friend for the next 100 days as I'm partial to a bar of chocolate and will need something to help beat the urges.
4. I am only allowed to spend money on deodorant, tampax, toothpaste, mouthwash and shower gel but only IF I desperately need shower gel as I have a few to use up.
5. I am not allowed to buy any clothes even if they are in the sales.
6.  Last but not least the things I can spend money on are birthday presents, travel expenses, and one night out a month where I will limit myself to spending £20.

I've also decided to do this challenge because I want be able to save some money for to go abroad next year with my bestfriend so if I complete the challenge I will book my deposit at the travel agents. Instead of spending a fortune on products I hardly use the money I will save instead I will also put towards spending money for my holiday and also new clothes for it.

I'm sure I can do it if I really put my mind into it, plus really it will be beneficial for not only me but my bank account, I may even write weekly posts on my progress about products I'm lusting after to see if I still want them once the challenge is finished and also keep a tab on how much money I am actually saving in the long run.

I can do it and I will do it.
