MAC Cherry Lip Pencil

I don't know about anyone else but I am a major fan of the classic and bold red lip.

A lot of people say that they can't pull of the red lip look but that is probaly because they haven't found the shade of red that suits their skintone and colouring, I think that absolutely anyone can pull of wearing red lips you just have to feel confident.

For a long time I was on a mission to try and find the ''perfect'' shade of red and wasted god knows how much on drugstore red lipsticks and red lipliners. I decided enough was enough and whilst on a shopping trip a while ago I ventured into MAC. I asked one of the make-up artists to match me up with a shade of red which flattered my skin tone and she suggested a Lip Liner in Cherry, she also told me that she usually wears it as a lip liner and also a lipstick and just dds a tiny bit of vaseline to her lips whilst it's applied and for £10.50 it isn't exactly the cheapest lip liner on the markey but I am a big fan of MAC cosmetics.

On the MAC website Cherry is described as ''Vivid bright blue-ish red'' and I have to say that the website description is pretty spot on. Blue toned colours are especially great for making teeth appear whiter too.

This lip liner has a lovely creamy texture and doesn't drag the lips when applied and is super pigmented that even on it's own it can be applied like a lipstick however because it is matte it can make the lips dry so I pop a slick of vaseline to my lips.

The staying power is also super, I wore this when I went out for a meal and even after many cocktails (oopsie) and yummy food the colour stayed intact.

You can purchase the Lip Liner from the MAC website and also their make-up counters.

I intend on purchasing a couple more Lip Liners in the future.

Revlon Just Bitten™ Kissable Lip Balm Stain - Lovesick

Hi everyone.

I was mooching around Boots a couple of days ago and I bought 2 of the new Revlon Just Bitten™ Kissable Lip Balm Stains which were £5.99 each (this is currently an introductory offer and their usual price will then be £7.99). I've heard a lot of people tell me that the Lip Stains are a cheaper alternative to the Clinique Chubby Sticks, I had actually been hesitating whether to purchase a couple of the Chubby Sticks but as these were a much cheaper alternative I just couldn't resist.

Today I will be reviewing one of my Lip Stains in shade ''Lovesick''

I won't go into a in-depth review about the colour as you can probaly tell from the swatch that it is a pretty bright pink colour when applied to the lips. This is only one layer but you could add another layer to intensify the colour. I was also expecting them to smell slightly fruity however they do have a hint of a minty smell to them which isn't unpleasant at all.

The Lip Stains are very creamy and non-drying I've tried a few other Lip Stains before and my lips have been left feeling rather dried and flakey. The colour payoff is much better than I was expecting too especially for a drugstore product.

The ''shine'' lasts for a couple of hours and after that the colour pretty much stains your lips, mind you that is probaly why they are called Lip Stains. Another great thing about the Lip Stains is that you don't have to sharpen them you simply twist the silver part at the bottom and more product travels up the tube.

There are 7 shades available in the UK and are currently available in Boots and Superdrug.

Have you tried any of the Lip Stains yet?

Glamour Magazine Freebie - balance Me. Pure Skin Face Wash

With August's issue of Glamour magazine they are currently offering balance ME. trial sized freebies.

According to balance ME. they are ''Natural, high performance, paraben and sulphate free, aromatherapy skincare products made in the UK''. I have heard quite a lot of good things about the comapany's products and I've been wanting to try their face wash for a while now so when I came across the magazine in my local Asda I jumped at the chance and bought a copy for a bargain of only £2.00.

The face wash is a 50ml tube which I think is a reasonable trial size especially for a magazine freebie. balance.ME claim that their face wash is ''A gentle yet effective non-drying sulphate and petroleum free face wash to cleanse skin of make-up and daily grime. Formulated with anti-oxidant rich moringa and rice brand oils to brighten and polish the skin and leave it smooth and gently cleansed.''

To use the face wash you squeeze a small amount of product into the palm of your hand and add warm water and massage it in to create a lather then simply massage the product over your face and then rinse it off, I usually rinse my face with a muslin cloth and then splash my face with cold water to close my pores and pat dry with a clean towel.

The product smells beautiful (like an expensive spa product) it contains grapefruit, ylang ylang oils and frankincense, although some people may be put off by it's smell as it is quite strong so if you prefer more sublte scents then this face wash isn't for you. I also love how far the product goes, I literally squeeze a pea-sized amount onto my finger and splash warm water on my face and massage the product into my skin. My skin is easily irritated and a lot of products can leave my skin feeling rather tight but this face wash leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean.

The balance ME. face wash retails for £16.00 for a 125ml sized tube and their other products can be found on their website which I will link below.

The £100 ASOS Blogger Challenge

Hi everyone.

Recently I came across THIS competition run by The Discount Coder Blog.
For this contest what you basically have to do is visit the ASOS.com and put together the hottest outfit possible with a £100 budget to be in with a chance of winning a £100 ASOS voucher to spend online, how amazing would that be?

The outfit I have chosen below is a outfit which I would actually wear and I'm sure that it probaly won't be to everyone's tastes but IF I won the competition then I would probaly purchase every single item, anyway I hope you enjoy!

First of all I started with a item of clothing which is a staple in my wardrobe, classic skinny jeans. I love how versatile they are and I don't think you can ever go wrong with a pair of these babies as they go with just about anything! I usually just wear black skinny jeans so I think these pink ones are a nice change.

I'm loving pepulum style tops at the moment, as a slightly ''curvier'' girl I find that they help my hips look narrower and nip in my waist.

I always wear flats during the day as I like to be comfortable plus flat shoes go with just about any outfit that you throw on, I love how they are studded instead of just plain.

I love these earrings and for only £6 they are a absolute bargain.

I don't know about you but I love big oversized bags mainly because I literally throw so much junk inside of my bags, I love the silver effect at the bottom of the bag it makes the bag look less plain and for £20 it certainly doesn't break the bank, I think you could wear any outfit and pair this bag with it.

Well that's me finished at last, I think I spent a good hour probaly more browsing on the ASOS website and all together my virtual basket cost £92.50.
